    We are looking for an admissions and recruiting counselor to serve as one of the founding members of our Admissions team. You will have the unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and help shape the future of the Admissions group and how we engage and serve our prospective students. Overall, you will work directly with potential students to drive student enrollments.

    At Campus, the Admissions team serves as the first point of contact for prospective students (and their influencers) as they explore their college and community college options. The team helps prospective students understand how Campus meets their academic needs and supports them closely throughout the evaluation and enrollment process. The team will attend college fairs, make local high school visits, respond to prospective student inquiries, provide guidance and suggestions, and conduct outreach to promote Campus and recruit prospective students.

    You will partner closely with Marketing and other internal teams to ensure a seamless transition for students through setting processes, procedures, customer service standards, and ensuring their delivery to all prospective students and their influencers.

    This role reports to the Director of Admissions, and this role will be a remote position for someone based in the Chicago area.

    The right person for this role will have experience recruiting for a higher-ed institution or organization and should be familiar with the college recruiting landscape in the greater Chicago area.

    Drive & Grow Student Enrollments

    • Make hundreds of outbound phone calls to prospects daily weekly
    • Convert leads to enrolled students at extremely high conversion rates
    • Host online Campus admissions sessions
    • Represent Campus at in-person and virtual college recruiting events - primarily in Chicago and some National - travel is estimated at 25-50% for Fall 2021
    • Build relationships with High School guidance counselors in the region making visits to local schools in order to generate interest in Campus supported degree programs.
    • Personally develop inquiries/leads/applicants based on interactions at local events and school visits
    • Respond to inbound students inquiries via phone, email, SMS and live chat.
    • Nurture a pipeline of leads and applicants seeking to drive high conversion rate throughout our admissions funnel.
    • Meet with local non-profits and and educational organizations to help develop and implement partnerships with Campus

    Requirements

    • Start date for this role is by Oct 4, 2021.
    • You must be located in the Chicago area.
    • A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
    • Minimum 3-5 years' related experience in higher education admissions and recruiting. Experience recruiting for two and/or four year degree programs is preferred
    • Sense of urgency in meeting goals. Consistency in delivering results.
    • Ability to work extended hours on a regular basis; we are a startup with a critical mission.
    • Excellent communicator. Empathetic and able to listen to student needs.
    • Natural salesperson. A naturally gifted salesperson who is persuasive but not "salesy". This is balanced by integrity and a focus on serving the student
    • Relentless drive. Goal-oriented and results-driven, setting and achieving ambition metrics that serve the mission (vs their ego).

    Salary & Benefits

    • Salary: $50,000-55,000 dependent on experience
